Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently seeking a Bilingual HR Assistant to join the Pictsweet HR Department, supporting the company's flagship vegetable processing facility in Bells, TN. The Bilingual HR Assistant aids with and facilitates the human resource functions including recruiting, benefits support, record keeping, timekeeping, file maintenance, payroll, onboarding, and all other HR related matters. This position is required to be fluent in both English & Spanish.

 

Responsibilities

  • Records and maintains applicant profile information.
  • Tracks applicant data regarding status, contacts, and offers of employment.
  • Assists in employment coordination and processing new hires for orientation.
  • Distributes paychecks, assists in audits as needed. Coordinates with workers and payroll to resolve discrepancies. 
  • Assists employees with various topics such as transfer requests, general policy/procedures, etc.
  • Provides clerical support to Safety and Emergency Response Committees.
  • Tracks employee enrollment in the company Health Insurance Program.
  • Tracks and ensures employee status changes are completed timely.
  • Maintains office supplies, coordinates equipment maintenance/repairs with vendors.
  • Maintains, monitors and tracks various HR/benefit programs such as FLMA, sick leave, vacation.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information.
  • Maintains filing system.
  • Verifies various employment records.
  • Provides clerical support to the Human Resources Manager and Supervisor.
  • Perform all other duties appropriate to the position as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Education or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Business School or Associates Degree in Business, Office Management or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 5 years experience as a Human Resources Assistant, Office Manager or similar work may be substituted for a degree.
  • 2 years office experience required (with AA degree or Business School).
  • 5 years applicable experience if no post high school education. Prior Human Resource experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficiency with MS Work and Excel) required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, multiple tasks and processing multiple sources of information.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.
