Production Supervisor (2nd and 3rd Shift)

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 to $80,000

The Pictsweet Company is growing! Family owned and operated for 75 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are hiring a Second Shift/Third Shift Production Supervisor in Santa Maria, CA. The supervisor will coordinate the production activities; focusing on employee safety, quality and customer service standards within time limits.

• Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA and OSHA. Complies with all other regulations and laws affecting the company (business law, trade secrets, personnel practices, etc.)
• Follows all Company policies and procedures, which include SOPs, Employee Handbook, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.
• Enforces company rules, such as attendance, food safety, production quality, safety, GMPs, and efficiency.
• Coordinates production scheduling with management, warehouse, quality control, and maintenance personnel.
• Monitors production lines and work areas. Visually inspects work areas and production equipment. Ensures equipment operates properly. Notifies maintenance when repairs need to be completed.
• Trains employees and explains and demonstrates work tasks to new workers, or assigns less experienced workers to more experienced workers for further training.
• Maintains positive employee relations within the department, resolves worker problems, and collaborates with employees to assist in problem resolution.

• 3-5 of relevant supervisory experience or a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience. 
• Must be willing to work long hours in a physically demanding environment.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Must be computer proficient with spreadsheets and word-processing.
