Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! We are currently seeking a Manager, Corporate Accounting to join the accounting team at our headquarters in Bells, TN. The Manager of Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the financial statement process and reporting, accounts receivables and accounts payables. This position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing controls in accounts payables and receivables. It will also be responsible for the monthly preparation of financial statements and reporting, including compliance and analysis. This role will understand our cost accounting systems, processes and provide costing analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure internal controls in payment and receipt processing and the safeguarding of company assets.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external reporting.
  • Create accounting schedules and account reconciliations.
  • Understand cost accounting systems, processes and reporting.
  • Drive process improvement and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analysis of financial statements. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits. Assist in the audit process and work with outside auditors regarding accounting and reporting issues.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
  • Manage external audit relationships and ensure efficient use of resources and reporting.
  • Manage Fixed Assets reporting.
  • Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Keep ahead of industry trends on internal audit and financial reporting, specifically any new accounting standards or updates on the horizon.
  • Support VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
